We offer day camps during all school holidays except at Christmas. They go from either from 8h30 - 16h or from 9h30 – 17h00 (depending on French and Swiss school holidays, so as to maintain afternoon lessons if necessary) usually Mondays to Fridays.
During July and August there are camps each week as soon as school finishes. For these weeks, children book for the whole week, we do not take them just for the odd day. However for all other holidays; Easter, half term… they can come either for the entire week, of just by the day. The prices can be seen on the brochures.
A typical day includes riding morning and afternoon, in groups according to levels. They will also have theory lessons on horse care and riding, and will have the opportunity to put it into practice. The lessons are based on the FFE exam system, which has exams named ‘galops’. The children can take an exam at the end of the week if they want to (members will recieve a certificate from the FFE, or simply work on the next level up). They also enjoy pony-games afternoons, rides out and cross country if their level permits it, driving Shetland ponies, vaulting, and of course jumping and dressage work.
A responsible member of staff takes care of them over lunchtime and organizes other games while the ponies appreciate a few moments of peace and quiet to enjoy their lunch! Children bring own packed lunches. We do not provide any food on site, with the exception of a vending machine.
Children can be dropped off earlier and/or picked up later (within reason!) if it suits parents working hours. Hats can be lent if necessary. Please make sure children have clothing adapted to the weather, and names on their equipment is recommended!
Nous proposons des stages pendant toutes les vacances scolaires, sauf celles de Noël. Les horaires sont soit 8h30 - 16h00 soit 9h30 - 17h, du lundi au vendredi.
For the 3-4 year olds to 6 year olds who are not able to follow a full day, we have the ‘mini’s’ camps. These last 2 hours, from 10h until 12h. During the summer it is also possible to join afternoon sessions from 15h - 17h. The children take time to groom the Shetlands, help to tack them up and start to learn basic facts about them. They are given a snack, provided by us, and of course they also ride, sometimes out on walks in our fields, or indoors, with games and fun, to get their confidence and get accustomed to the contact and respect of their giant friends.
A deposit of 50 euros is needed when the booking is made for it to be valid. This can be done via our web site with your password, with a credit card or cash. We take a maximum of 6 mini’s, so reservations should be made in plenty of time to be sure to have a place. For this age group children should be dropped of at 10h and picked up at 12h precisely, as it would be unsafe to have them around outside these hours without their parents supervision.
